Klapa Eufemija

EUFEMIJA VOCAL ENSEMBLE (KLAPA)

The Eufemija klapa from Rab was founded in 1999 by klapa singing enthusiasts with previous experience in singing. Since then, they have been performing the traditional klapa music (a type of a cappella singing), and also have a repertoire of religious songs sung at Christmas and Easter. They devote special attention to the traditional songs sung on the Dalmatian islands that speak of love and the way of life in that region. On its tenth anniversary in 2009, the ensemble recorded an album titled Vira u sebe (Trust in Oneself).

They have performed at all important events on the island and also took part at the 50^th golden jubilee Festival in Omiš. They have regularly participated at the Rapske Vedute klapa festival and other festivals in Croatia. Performing in Croatia and abroad, the ensemble promotes the traditional and cultural values of the island of Rab.
